For the second year in a row, Cryssi Zymi played its part at Spetses Mini Marathon, the largest multi-sports event in Greece held on 5-7 October, handing out moments of joy to athletes and visitors alike on the island.
On the Friday, Cryssi Zymi and the swimming champion Stefanos Dimitriadis played hosts to parents and children at the Titania Cinema for an interesting speech on ‘Sports Diet for children and teenagers’, while at the same time Cryssi Zymi’s initiative ‘Running with our Heart’ was presented to support the vital work of ‘Together for Children’. The specific initiative was excellently received throughout the three days by the public, who enthusiastically donned the shirts, passing on the message, and making Cryssi Zymi’s contribution all the stronger! On the Saturday, the smells from the home-made pitas made by the Women’s Cooperative of Spetses with their own recipes and of course Cryssi Zymi’s traditional pastry wafted across the Square enticing the people to be treated from Cryssi Zymi’s specially fashioned van. Sunday, last day of the event, closed with the most delicious of breakfast treats for athletes and young and old visitors to the island alike: freshly baked Home-made Trigona with tachini, honey and cinnamon, as well as home-made Trigona with sweet potato. A truly tasty dose of nutritious energy! Also enjoying the ‘fruits’ of the van were the Olympic winner Klelia Pantazi, Stefanos Dimitriadis and the swimming coach, Christos Bofilios as well as the blogger and journalist Myrto Kazi, all of whom grabbed the limelight by being photographed in front of the van, food in hand or mouth, and wearing their ‘Running with our Heart’ shirts.
Cryssi Zymi By craft, not by chance!
