Let the puff pastry defrost according to the package instructions. Let the apples, pears, sugar and spices simmer in a pot without water for 5-7 minutes. Add the butter and continue simmering for another 2-3 minutes. If there is a lot of excess liquid, dissolve a teaspoon of cornflour in three tablespoons of cold water and add it to the mixture. Let it cool down.
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Sprinkle some flour on the kitchen counter. Lay out each puff pastry sheet onto the counter and cut it in the middle, lengthwise, and then cut each half into four pieces crosswise, so that you have 8 pieces in total. Put some of the filling on each piece of puff pastry and wrap it in a roll, making sure to brush the edges with some water so that they can stick together and so that the filling doesn’t run out.
Bake at 180°C for approximately 20 minutes until golden brown. Sprinkle some icing sugar on top and serve.
