Fibre
Fibre is a substance found in all natural foods and is important for the normal function of the digestive system while assisting in lowering cholesterol and controlling blood sugar. Excellent sources of fibre are whole grain cereal, unpeeled fruits, whole wheat pasta, whole wheat bread, and nuts.
Crithmum (Kritamo)
A small plant found in rocky coastal areas. It is rich in minerals, iodine and vitamins, which is why it has been known since antiquity for its healing properties. It has a wonderful taste and is used in salads, in pies or sauces as an aromatic herb and can be pickled as well.

The production method of whole wheat food means that the entire wheat kernel is ground up, without removal of its bran. Thus, whole wheat products are made with flour from the whole grain of wheat and are a source of fibre that contributes to good physical function.
tips
For a shiny, golden-brown pie crust, brush with whisked egg before baking.
To prevent all liquids from evaporating and drying out the pie filling, carve the pie with a knife, but be careful not to cut all the way through.
If during baking, the pie crust edges get a darker colour, cover with baking paper to cook evenly.
